COURSE DURATION 1 Day
There is, a legal requirement for Companies, involved in the carriage of hazardous goods by road, to provide training for all personnel involved in such movements.
we at CAS training academy have developed an Awareness Training Program based on many years experience within the industry. The course has been designed to give our customers the confidence that they have satisfied the due diligence requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and The Management of Health and Safety Regulations with respect to training and provision of information for employees.
The program is designed to heighten the awareness of personnel other than drivers and to explain their legal responsibilities under the UK Carriage Regulations and ADR.
The courses are delivered by DFT registered ADR instructors or Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors.
The course covers all aspects of the movement of goods including correct selection and labeling of packages; consignors’, driver controllers’ and loaders’ responsibilities; fork lift operations including handling of dangerous goods; emergency information for drivers; security in transport and dealing with spillages and environmental contaminants. The course can also be tailored to individual customers’ requirements.
Examinations
There is no formal examination for this course. While there is no legal requirement for refresher training – other than the general requirement to ensure operational changes are communicated to affected personnel – it is recommended that such training is completed every two to three years to stay abreast of changes in the regulations.
